Bass Coast Celebrates Seniors Festival

The Victorian Seniors Festival is being celebrated in Bass Coast throughout all of October.

Whatever your passion – the arts, sport, touring, learning or meeting new people – this festival has something for you.

There are plenty of free and low-cost events happening across Bass Coast, along with hundreds of events and activities being held throughout Victoria.

Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Cr Neil Rankine, encouraged all Seniors to attend some of the events being hosted by local community groups.

“There’s a fantastic variety of events and activities being held encouraging people to be active, opportunities to socialise and meet new people, and to enjoy concerts and exhibitions,” Cr Rankine said.

Information on events can be found in the local program of events available from Visitor Information Centres, Libraries and Customer Service Centres across the Shire.

The local program is also available on the Council’s website www.basscoast.vic.gov.au/vsf.

The Victorian Seniors Festival is a state-wide Victorian Government initiative. The free state-wide program of festival events is available at Council Visitor Information and Customer Service Centres or libraries across the Shire. You can also see what other events are happening across Victoria by visiting the Seniors Online calendar of events at www.seniorsonline.vic.gov.au.
