Caravan park plans revised

Bass Coast Shire Council received revised plans for the planning application for the development of a caravan park at 1285 Phillip Island Road, Newhaven last week.

The site adjoins the Forest Caves car park.

Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Kimberley Brown, said the amended plans propose a reduction of site numbers originally applied for from 266 to 253.

“Plans were also submitted for the manager’s residence and amenity blocks,” Cr Brown said.

“Council Officers have notified the 77 residents who have already lodged a submission to the application.”

The amended plans are available for viewing online at basscoast.vic.gov.au/forestcavescp.

Submissions can be made in response to this application up until the application is determined.

At this stage, it is anticipated that the application will be presented to Council for determination in either October or November.
