CCTV Camera At Problem Intersection

Bass Coast Shire Council will install one Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) camera at the Seaward Drive and Tarooh Street intersection in Cape Paterson.

This decision follows concerns regarding road safety issues within the intersection, and to deter motorists from making illegal right turns into Seaward Drive.

The CCTV camera will:

  • monitor the traffic manoeuvres
  • reduce the number of illegal right turn
  • assist in detection and prosecution of offenders and provide records to police and
  • help secure a safer road environment

If you have any enquires in relation to the CCTV camera, please conact Council’s Technical Officer Traffic and Lighting, Felix Feng on 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211.
