Community Supports Plan For Cowes

The Phillip Island community has yet again shown great support for the Cowes Activity Centre Plan.

Between 25 and 28 April, around 280 people attended a marquee in the Cowes Town Square to view and provide feedback on the draft Plan.

Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Cr Kimberley Brown, said a number of formal presentations that provided an overview of the draft were also held for community members and local business owners.

“A bullseye poster was set up for the community to provide their initial response to the draft Plan and on average, community support for the Plan was between 75 and 100 per cent,” Cr Brown said.

“Despite such inclement weather we had good response for the two and a half day exhibition.”
