Bass Coast Shire Council began its You Talk, Council Listens project in April with the aim of improving the way Council engages with the community.

Engagement open house sessions were held in popular locations in Inverloch, Wonthaggi and Cowes so community members could stop by and provide feedback.

Mayor, Cr Kimberley Brown, thanked everyone that participated and provided feedback.

“We really appreciate people taking the time to stop and speak with us,” Cr Brown said.

“We had more than 160 Community members fill out the online survey and more than 200 community members and Council staff attend our face to face or open house sessions.”

The findings from the meetings, open house sessions, and online and hard copy surveys will be presented at a community forum at Kilcunda Community Hall at 7.30 pm on 9 June, 2015.

Everyone is invited to attend the session, which will include a discussion about how the feedback can inform policy and strategy development.

Please confirm your attendance by calling Tracey Worsfield on 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211.
