Information For Kernot Community

Bass Coast Shire Council will hold a community information session and continue to accept submissions regarding the permit application for a milk processing factory in Kernot.

Council’s CEO, Paul Buckley, reassured the community submissions can be accepted and are welcome beyond 28 January.

“Council will consider the application around mid to late-April, so we will continue to accept submissions up until the end of March to enable them to be included in the final report,” Mr Buckley said.

A public information session will also be held on Thursday, 12 February at the Kernot Community Hall, commencing at 6.00pm.

“The public information session will provide information about the proposal for a milk processing factory in Kernot,” Mr Buckley said.

“We will also discuss the process people can follow in order to make a submission, and the process Council must follow in considering the permit application.”
