Make a positive change with Positive Charge

Bass Coast Shire Council residents now have access to a free and independent energy advice service, Positive Charge.

The service independently recommends quality products and companies to help you save energy, money and the planet.

Backed by Council, Positive Charge is a not-for-profit enterprise run by Moreland Energy Foundation with a mission to cut carbon emissions and help communities take control of their power bills.

They can also help you get answers to those tricky questions about quotes, installation and beyond.

Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Kimberley Brown, said Council receives a number of enquiries from residents on how to reduce energy in their homes.

“Enquiries include questions like how to read electricity bills and all sorts of questions about solar panels,” Cr Brown said.

“It can be confusing and there’s a lot of conflicting information out there. This service will provide our community with independent answers.”

For any enquiries regarding saving energy in your home, you can call Positive Charge on (03) 9385 8555 or visit www.positivecharge.com.au.

You can also sign up for a monthly e-newsletter to receive tips and ideas about saving energy.

As well as Positive Charge, Council is working with the local Energy Innovation Cooperative to identify local companies to help you save energy.
