Bass Coast,

Mayor's concert raising funds for Hospital in the Home

If you like good music, great company, helping others and are free on Friday, 16 June – then this is the perfect event for you.

Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Pamela Rothfield, is hosting a Mayoral fundraiser concert, Winter Vibes. The concert aims to raise $15,000 for equipment for Bass Coast Health’s Hospital in the Home (HITH) program.

HITH will provide eligible acutely unwell patients with the care and treatment they require in the comforting and familiar environment of their own home. Cr Rothfield expressed her excitement towards the upcoming event.

“It is going to be a brilliant evening, with fantastic musicians, drinks and nibbles, and all for such an important cause,” Cr Rothfield said.

“I am looking forward to seeing the community come together and get behind the HITH program. After all, we never know when we, or someone we love and care about, may benefit from this care.”

Bass Coast Health CEO, Jan Child, echoed Cr Rothfield’s excitement.

“It has been wonderful working in partnership with the Mayor on this event. HITH will provide eligible people from all backgrounds and walks of life with treatments such as intravenous antibiotics, infusions and complex wound care: children, teenagers, professionals, elderly – this program is for everyone in the community,” Mrs Child said.

The concert will feature Australia’s finest blue grass band, The Davidson Brothers. Local talent, the Bass Coast Pickers, will be the support act. There will be auction items and a raffle on the night. Tickets are $35 per person which includes a beverage and nibbles.

The doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start on Friday 16 June at the Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre. Don’t miss out on what will be a memorable and important event. Book you tickets now through TryBooking:
