New Year Celebrations Across The Shire

Bass Coast Shire Council welcomes residents and visitors to the many activities available to celebrate the New Year:

Cowes: New Year’s Eve Carnivale

  • Where: Thompson Avenue and the Esplanade in Cowes
  • What: Free Entertainment, including live music and buskers, market stalls;
  • No Fireworks
  • When: from 1.00pm – 9.00pm
  • Please note:  Street Closures at Thompson Ave (Chapel – Esplanade) and Esplanade (Thompson Ave – Warley Ave) from 7.30am  to 10.00pm

 

Coronet Bay: Family activities and fireworks

  • Where: on the foreshore at the end of Cutty Sark Road
  • What: Family orientated activities, including children’s rides and carnival activities, live music, BBQ, and  fireworks
  • When: 6.00pm – 9.45pm
  • Please note: Fireworks will commence at 9.30pm

 

Inverloch: Family activities and fireworks

  • Where: Inverloch Recreation Reserve on Sandymount Avenue (the oval)
  • What:  Summer carnival rides at the reserve, family picnic opportunity, glow sticks and food available, fireworks
  • When: Carnival rides are available all day, but evening activities from about 7.30pm, or bring your own picnic
  • Please note: Fireworks will commence at 9.30pm
