One week until Pazzazz!

It’s just over a week to go until the exciting community consultation session for the Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre (WUCAC).

Registrations have been flowing in as the arts and culture community look to be part of the rejuvenation of one of the key cultural centres in Bass Coast.

Members of local business, performing arts groups, fine film, music, schools and local societies have secured their seat at this all important event where all participants will be encouraged to share their dreams for the Centre.

Leading attendees throughout the night will be preeminent experts in this area, Wendy Dunstan and James Buick.

Wendy and James said the Arts Centre is a valued community asset and any future plans must be reflective of the views of those who use it now and those who would like to use it in the future – patrons, hirers, schools, arts groups and the broader community.

“We look forward to hearing what the community would like the Centre to be. This is an exciting project and we are so pleased to be a part of the process,” Wendy and James said.

“The consultation night provides the opportunity to discuss ideas and opportunities that will assist in ensuring the future directions plan best meets the needs of the Bass Coast community.”

The evening will be staged at WUCAC, 96 Graham Street Wonthaggi from 6.30pm until 9.00pm on Tuesday, 25 August.

Light refreshments will be available upon arrival.

Due to the popularity of the venue and interest within the community, RSVPs for catering are a must by emailing mark.lindsay@basscoast.vic.gov.au or calling 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211.
