Opportunity to discuss C151 with the Mayor

Bass Coast Shire Council is currently seeking feedback on Planning Scheme Amendment C151, which seeks to implement the planning aspirations of the Cowes Activity Centre Plan 2015.

In order to facilitate deeper consultation, Council has scheduled an additional pop-up session at Cowes Woolworths Plaza on Saturday, 21 July from 10am to 12 midday, which Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Pamela Rothfield, will be attending in person.

“One aspect of the amendment is to provide specific guidance about the design and development of two key sites: The former Warley Hospital Site and the Isle of Wight site,” Cr Rothfield said.

“These sites are particularly important to the character of Cowes, and it is vital that the community get involved in defining the expectations and criteria for future development of these sites.”

Feedback can be provided to Council as a formal submission by writing to Council at:

PO Box 118

Or preferably via email to s.planningadmin@basscoast.vic.gov.au

Submissions must be received by 5pm on Friday, 27 July 2018.

“Each submission will be read and considered by Council and an independent Planning Panel. Feedback gained through these submissions will inform the guidelines and criteria for development at the two sites,” Cr Rothfield said.
