Phillip Island Anniversary Logo Revealed

The Phillip Island 150th Celebrations Planning Committee has selected a logo for the significant anniversary for Phillip Island in 2018.

The winning entry by Christine Larsen was selected from 49 entries from the Phillip Island community as part of the logo design competition.

Newhaven Primary School students along with local arts enthusiast made up the bulk of the applicants with Chris’ entry getting the nod in a tightly contested competition.

According to Committee Member, Anne Davie, it was a very difficult task for the Committee.

“We had so many wonderful entries and Christine’s successful design showcases Phillip Island’s significant history, exceptional landscape and current appeal,” Ms Davie said.

“The group look forward to using the logo on all promotional material throughout the anniversary build-up and during the year.

“The next task for the group is to coordinate a calendar of events for the year, encouraging all Phillip Island community groups an opportunity to link with the calendar, ensuring a mighty celebration.”
