The Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre will host St Kilda Short Film Festival’s Victorian Tour on Friday 14 July at 7.30pm.

The Tour is making its way around the state, screening some of the most innovative and inspiring short films from one of Australia’s most popular film festivals.

The selection includes both award winners and the director’s choices of films from diverse genres: documentary, animation, fiction and comedy. These are films from the nation’s leading filmmaking talent, and several titles in the tour have received awards in the Top 100 Short Films Competition.

The St Kilda Short Film Festival is Academy Awards accredited, with selected prize-winning films acclaimed at St Kilda eligible for Oscar nomination.

All films fetured in the St Kilda Short Film Festival are unclassified, persons under the age of 15 years will not be admitted to screenings unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Screenings include two programs with a short interval in between. Tickets are $15 (no concession), and are available at the Wonthaggi Workmen’s Club at 65-75 Graham Street or by calling (03) 5672 1083. Any remaining tickets can be purchased at the cinema once doors open at 7.00pm.
