Sunset Strip Survey Results

Bass Coast Shire Council has totalled results on the Sunset Strip Estate road and drainage upgrade survey, with responses from 56% of ratepayers.

The questionnaire was sent to 346 property owners, with 195 property owners responding. The remaining 151 (44%) property owners did not take the opportunity to respond to the questionnaire.

Mayor, Cr Neil Rankine, said overall, the responses to the questionnaire showed that 139 (40%) of the total property owners would not be willing to contribute towards the cost of the works to upgrade roads and drainage in the area.

“Responses from 56 (16%) property owners indicated that they would like the road and drainage upgrade to occur and would be willing to contribute towards the project,” Cr Rankine said.

“I’d like to thank all Sunset Strip ratepayers who completed and returned the recent questionnaire to Council.

“The information will be used to help Council in making a decision about the proposed upgrade.”

A report will be presented to Council at the September Ordinary meeting regarding the response to the questionnaire.
